What to expect during sessions

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy sessions last about an hour. Sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less.

The first half of the session is the face-to-face talking part. We talk through solutions to your issues using techniques like:

  • Solution Focused Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • Mindfulness

  • Positive Psychology

The second part of the session is where we carry out hypnosis. I will ask you to lie down on my super comfy hypnotherapy couch and begin the process of hypnosis.

Hypnosis is not mind control. You are fully aware of what is happening. It is very much like a day-dreaming state of mind and in this state of mind the subconsious mind is more receptive to making desired changes.

Following the session I would recommend you go and do something nice! Hypnotherapy is a relaxing and positive experience so why not take that feeling forward if you can.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone is different and it will depend on the issues you are working through. However, the idea is that it is led by you and what you need. With you being empowered to feel able to implement what you have learnt rather than become reliant on therapy. So ideally, the minimum amount possible.
